A Little About Us
In June of 2014, Mark Beal began working for Dave Lloyd of High Country Utilities, Inc. (HCU) as a project manager. He has worked in construction for most of his life, so he was very well-versed in this industry before taking over this position. HCU had quite a niche market in the construction industry, which was unique to the FAA.
Over the next 3+ years, he gained extensive knowledge in the construction of navigational aids, radar tower construction, and fire life safety, just to name a few. In November of 2017, Mr. Beal formed High Country Contractors, Inc. (HCC) to continue the operations of HCU when Mr. Lloyd retired. HCC inherited an excellent reputation from the previous ownership and the best staff of construction professionals in the business.
HCC received its first contract under the new name in the spring of 2018 and has continued to operate with the highest regard for job quality, efficiency, and safety.
HCC is Native American-owned and a member of the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) certification program.
Mark Beal is married to Stacy Beal, who runs the office operations of HCC. She was an entrepreneur of a local retail store before High Country Contractors was formed. They have two children, a 26-year-old son, Blake, who is working for HCC as an electrician. As well as a 22-year-old daughter, Miranda, who is working as a Marketing Specialist in the Collision Industry.
